Resunga Airport to operate four flights weekly from today
Gulmi, April 18: Flight operations at Resunga Airport have been increased to four days a week starting today, according to the Nepal Airlines Corporation.
The airline has announced regular Kathmandu–Gulmi flights every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Earlier, services were operated only three days a week.
Station chief Suman Thapa said the increase in frequency follows maintenance of the Twin Otter aircraft used for domestic operations and growing demand for the route.
Along with the revised schedule, airfare has also been increased. The fare from Kathmandu to Resunga has been set at Rs 10,902, while the return fare from Resunga to Kathmandu is Rs 10,702. Earlier, the fare stood at Rs 7,500 and Rs 7,300 respectively.
Officials said the increase in ticket prices is linked to rising fuel costs.
The Kathmandu–Resunga service has been operating regularly for the past five months, except during the monsoon season and adverse weather conditions, using an 18-seater Twin Otter aircraft.
