Nepal Consulate in San Francisco marks Aarogya Diwas

Kathmandu, April 14: The Consulate General of Nepal in San Francisco observed Aarogya Diwas (Wellness Day) on Monday by organising a series of programmes.

The United Nations, following Nepal’s initiative, had endorsed a resolution on March 10, 2026, to mark April 15 each year as Aarogya Diwas.

According to the Consulate, the first International Aarogya Day was celebrated at the Nepali Community Centre in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Nepali Association of Northern California and Jeevan Vigyan-US jointly organised the event.

The programme focused on promoting wellness practices, with experts sharing insights on yoga and naturopathy. Sessions on meditation and sound therapy were also conducted as part of the event.
