Chandragadhi Women’s Gold Cup Set for April in Jhapa

Jhapa, March 30: The Chandragadhi Women’s Gold Cup will take place from April 18 to 27 at Mechi Stadium in Bhadrapur. The tournament winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 1.1 million.

Rohit Subba, Chairman of the Chandragadhi Youth Club, confirmed that 10 teams have registered for the event. Among them are three departmental teams—APF Football Club, Nepal Police Football Club, and Tribhuvan Army Football Club—along with one team each from India and Bhutan.

Individual awards include Rs 11,000 for the Player of the Match and Rs 50,000 for the tournament’s best player.

Subba emphasised that the gold cup aims to position the district as a centre for women’s football while nurturing talented players from the region.
