Light rain with lightning forecast in parts of country

Kathmandu, March 25: The country is experiencing generally cloudy conditions due to the partial influence of westerly and local winds.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province are currently seeing mostly cloudy weather, while the rest of the country remains partly cloudy.

Light rainfall, along with brief snowfall, has been recorded at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Thunder and lightning have also been reported in these areas.

For the rest of the day, the weather in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces is expected to remain generally cloudy. Other regions are likely to see partly cloudy conditions, while the Tarai will experience mostly clear weather.

Tonight, some hilly and mountainous areas, including Sudurpaschim Province, are expected to remain partly cloudy. The Tarai region is likely to have generally clear weather.
