Three-Vehicle Collision in Nawalparasi Injures 12
Madhyabindu, Nawalparasi, March 30: At least 12 people were injured this morning when three vehicles collided head-on in Gaindakot Municipality-9 along the East-West Highway.
According to Superintendent of Police Yubraj Khadka, a passenger bus (Lu Pra 01-001 Kha 0910) travelling from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu collided with a pick-up van (Ba Pra 01-028 Cha 5004) and a truck (Ba 3 Kha 3163) coming from the opposite direction.
The drivers injured in the accident include 32-year-old truck driver Indra Tamang from Khandadevi Rural Municipality-4, Ramechhap; 33-year-old van driver Darshan Kapri of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12; and bus driver Mohansingh Balami Magar from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-20. Additionally, nine passengers on the bus were also injured.
All the injured have been taken to hospitals in Chitwan for treatment, police said.
