Missing hunter found dead in Bardiya after two weeks
Gulariya (Bardiya), March 23: The body of a man who had gone missing during a hunting trip has been recovered after two weeks.
Top Bahadur Khatri, 33, of Barahatal Rural Municipality-2 in Surkhet, had been missing since he entered Bardiya National Park for hunting.
According to Sudhir Raj Shahi, Chief of the District Police Office, Surkhet, the body was found in the Ratamate area of Babai Valley inside the park.
Police said Khatri had gone for poaching along with five others, who are currently absconding towards India. They have been identified as Resham Samsheli, Rabi Lal Damai, Ram Bahadur Gharti, Sunil Samseli and Durga Bahadur Sinjali, all from Barahatal Rural Municipality-1.
Police, with support from the Area Police Office, Bangaha, have launched further investigation into the case.
