UAE leaders extend National Democracy Day greetings to Nepal

February 19, Kathmandu: Nepal marked its National Democracy Day on Thursday, with world leaders sending congratulatory messages on the occasion.
President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, extended his congratulations to President Ramchandra Paudel, conveying best wishes to him, the Government and the people of Nepal, according to the UAE Embassy in Kathmandu.
Likewise, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, sent separate messages of congratulations to President Paudel on the occasion.
National Democracy Day commemorates the establishment of democracy in Nepal in 1951 following the end of the Rana regime.
