Interaction program to celebrate Chinese New Year held in Lumbini

February 19, Kathmandu: An interaction program was organized on Thursday at Pugata Bhumi Jetavan Vihar, Siddharthanagar Municipality-4 in Rupendehi, to mark the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Horse.

The program was organized by Nepal–China Friendship Society Lumbini with the objective of promoting Nepal–China relations and strengthening people-to-people and cultural ties.

Speaking at the event, Society President Manish Kumar Joshi said such interaction programs help deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries, particularly at the local level. He emphasized the importance of cultural exchange in further strengthening long-standing bilateral friendship.

Chief Administrator of Chong Hua Buddhist Vihar Lumbini, Monk Pen, highlighted the shared Buddhist heritage of Nepal and China and said cultural and religious dialogue plays a vital role in promoting peace and harmony.

The interaction was attended by local intellectuals, representatives of the society and community members.
