Nepal-Cambodia bilateral meeting held on sidelines of SCO Summit in Tianjin
September 1, Kathmandu: On the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Plus Summit in Tianjin, China, a bilateral meeting took place between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Cambodia’s Prime Minister Dr. Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
The meeting occurred during the ongoing SCO Summit at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Centre. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring avenues for cooperation between Nepal and Cambodia. Both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing mutual relations, emphasising areas such as trade, cultural exchange, and regional collaboration. The meeting underscores Nepal’s active engagement with SCO dialogue partners and its efforts to promote its national interests on the global stage.
Prime Minister Oli, leading a Nepali delegation, is in Tianjin for a five-day visit to attend the SCO Summit and participate in the 80th anniversary commemoration of China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
During the summit, Oli is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with other world leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Laotian Prime Minister Dr. Sonexay Siphandone, and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
