E-Pension Service Rolled Out in Jumla
Jumla, April 27: In a significant step toward digital governance, e-pension services have been launched in the Himalayan district of Jumla for the first time, benefiting permanent government employees.
The District Treasury Controller Office (DTCO), Jumla, confirmed that the service—introduced by the Ministry of Finance—has now come into operation in the district. Chief of the office, Manjit Achhami, said the system aims to simplify pension processing and improve service delivery.
Kamal Thapa Kshetri, a retired agricultural officer from the Agriculture Development Office under Chandannath Municipality, has become the first recipient of the e-pension facility in Jumla.
With the new system in place, retirees no longer need to travel to Kathmandu to access pension-related services, helping them save both time and expenses.
