Badimalika’s quiet bloom: Where faith meets nature

August 20, Kathmandu: In Bajura’s serene Badimalika region, the high-altitude meadows come alive each monsoon with soft hues of wildflowers—pinks, blues, yellows, and whites.

During Shrawan and Bhadra (July and August), these hills that remain snow-covered in winters, transform into gentle, colourful expanses, captivating pilgrims and visitors alike.

Near the sacred Badimalika Temple, especially around Triveni, the meadows seem to glow quietly, a sight locals call the heart of Badimalika’s beauty.

At 4,200 meters above sea level, this place blends spirituality with nature’s calm allure. More travellers now visit, drawn by the subtle charm of the blooms and the peaceful Himalayan vistas.

Badimalika is emerging as a tranquil retreat in Nepal’s Far-West for people, even of big cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Nepalgunj, offering a moment of reflection amid natural beauty.

As its appeal grows, efforts focus on keeping this quiet haven pristine. For those seeking peace and simplicity, Badimalika’s meadows beckon.
