PM Oli directs timely and effective preparation for 10th National Games
Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council (NSC) to ensure timely, effective, and well-coordinated preparations for the 10th National Games, scheduled to be held by mid-December.
During a meeting at his official residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the National Games should be organized in a grand manner, especially as it precedes the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Describing the event as a matter of national pride, he urged the authorities to finalize the date and venue after thorough consultation and to avoid any changes once confirmed.
As the patron of the NSC, PM Oli stressed the importance of close coordination between the ministry and the council’s leadership for the successful execution of the event.
The meeting was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary, Ministry Secretary Dr. Hari Prasad Lamsal, NSC Vice-Chairperson Dhurba Acharya, and Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising, among others.
