Tiger straying into human settlement captured in Chitwan
July 23, Kathmandu: Nepal’s Terai region has seen a rise in human-tiger conflicts, including attacks, due to increasing tiger populations and habitat encroachment by dense human settlements.
In such recent news, a tiger that had entered a human settlement from Chitwan National Park was brought under control.
With the assistance of the Nepali Army and police, a technical team from the park captured the tiger on Tuesday from Buddhanagar in Bharatpur Metropolis ward 27, according to Ganga Prasad Khatiwada, Chief Conservation Officer of the park.
