Nepal-India Trade Fair from Thursday
Baitadi: Preparations are underway for the Nepal-India International Trade Fair 2082 to be held from June 5 to 9 at the Dehimadau Sports Ground in Dasharathchand Municipality-2 of the district.
The fair is being organised by Dasharathchand Municipality with the support of the Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Centre and is managed by Gwallek Media Group Pvt. Ltd, said Rajendra Bista, Information Officer of the Municipality.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the fair, while Bishan Singh Chuphal, Member of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly of India, will be the guest at the inauguration ceremony.
The fair has been organised to promote domestic industries and businesses and expand the national and international market for Nepali products and services. In addition, we aim to attract foreign investment and technology and establish business relations between domestic and foreign investors, said Mayor of the Municipality Pushkar Raj Joshi.
The fair that will see participation of business chambers from Nepal and India will also feature performances by artists from Nepal and India.
In addition, local products from both countries will be exhibited at the fair. Special priority has been given to promoting local art, culture, costumes and trade at the fair, which is free to enter.
