Kathmandu: Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has said the Lord Buddha’s worship of nature is inspiring for all of us to resolve the environmental problems.
Buddha’s love of nature encourages facing the problems caused by climate change in the world, he reiterated. Vice President Yadav said it in his message on the occasion of the Buddha Jayanti today.
Buddha’s messages are instrumental in wiping out irregularities on the social and economic fronts as well.
“The people from the Buddhist community celebrate the Day with special veneration at monasteries fostering unity,” he reminded, adding that it is the day that makes us aware of peace, non-violence, love and self-awakening.
The Vice President further said truth, morality, compassion, friendliness and balanced life are reflected in Buddha’s teachings.
Celebration of the Buddha Jayanti is also a self-introspection, which lifts one out of ignorance for enlightenment, he mentioned in the message.
He also extended greetings to all Nepalis who observe the Swan Punhi, Ubhauli festival, Chandi poornima and Gorakhnath Jayanti today itself.
