Judicial custody of Mishra and Prasai extended for 5 days

Kathmandu: The term of extension of judicial custody of a total of 23 people, including Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice President Rabindra Mishra and medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, has been extended for 5 days to investigate crimes against the state and organised crime.

Spokesperson of Kathmandu District Police Range, Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara, said that the Kathmandu District Court today has granted an extension of the custody for five days for investigation.

While investigations are being conducted against them for crimes against the state and organised crime, an investigation has also been initiated for criminal offences.

On March 28, a protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu, turned violent, leaving two people dead and dozens injured. Government and private structures were set on fire and vandalised in the name of a pro-monarchist movement.
