Hydel project provides skills generating training to affected communities
Damauli (Tanahun), March 28: The Tanahun Hydropower Project has provided skills-generating training to the project-affected community members.
The project is constructing 140 megawatts of energy in the Tanahun district. The Tanahun Hydropower Project stated that driving training is being given to 36 community people to encourage them to generate better income.
Project Chief Shyamji Bhandari stated that the training being conducted for 26 days includes beneficiaries from Myagde Rural Municipality, Rishing Rural Municipality, Bhimad Municipality, and Vyas Municipality. Under the project’s Livelihood Reintegration Program, the beneficiaries are receiving training in Damauli and Bhimad training centers.
Likewise, the project has completed 68 projects under the Community Development Program. The small projects as part of corporate social responsibility include the construction of playgrounds, roads, ponds, community buildings, drinking water facilities, and others.
