Health institutions not paying tariff as per bed capacity penalized
Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene has decided to take action against 11 health institutions that have failed to pay tariffs according to their bed capacity.

Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, shared that action has been taken against 11 health institutions that do not pay the fees due according to the number of beds.
According to him, it has been decided to recover Rs 17.8 million from those institutions. The ministry has taken the decision forward with the objective of ensuring good governance, transparency and legal accountability in the health sector.
The ministry has stated that the process of recovering the outstanding amount has been taken forward by addressing the issues pointed out by the latest Auditor General’s report.
