Foreign Minister Dr Deuba holds talks with Georgian and Filipino counterpart at Raisina Dialogue

 

March 19, Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba on Wednesday held separate bilateral meetings with Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili and the Philippines’ Foreign Minister Enrique A. Manalo in New Delhi.

The meetings took place on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue, organized by India’s Ministry of External Affairs. Discussions focused on mutual interests and bilateral concerns.

During her meeting with Georgia’s Foreign Minister Botchorishvili, Minister Dr Deuba sought support for Nepal’s candidacy for the UN Security Council for 2027-2029 and explored potential cooperation in agriculture, hydropower, infrastructure, and tourism. She also highlighted Nepal’s climate change challenges and requested Georgia’s backing for Nepal’s climate justice advocacy on global platforms.

In talks with the Philippines’ Foreign Minister Manalo, Minister Dr Deuba emphasized collaboration to address climate change, a shared challenge for both nations and discussed strengthening economic ties and collective cooperation between Nepal and the Philippines.
