Prime Minister receives manifesto from NGO Federation
March 17, Kathmandu: The newly elected leadership of the NGO Federation of Nepal handed over a 21-point manifesto, approved during its 11th General Assembly and National Civil Conference, to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The handover took place today at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, where a delegation led by Federation President Arjun Kumar Bhattarai presented the document. The manifesto includes demands for NGO-friendly policies and laws, as well as the organization of a Nepal Development Conference, among other issues.
During the occasion, Prime Minister Oli congratulated the new leadership and extended his best wishes for their success in achieving social transformation and development goals. The Federation had elected a 51-member new executive committee under Bhattarai’s leadership during its general assembly held in Kathmandu from March 9 to 11.
