Cabinet decides to appoint Deepak Thapa as Nepal Police Chief
Kathmandu: The Council of Ministers meeting has decided to appoint Deepak Thapa as the Chief of Nepal Police.
At a meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar today, Minister for Communication and Information Technology and government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung informed that the decision has been taken to promote Thapa from Additional Inspector General of Police to Inspector General of Police.
The meeting also decided to appoint Dinesh Bhatta as the Executive Director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
