Democracy fighter Sapkota remembered on Democracy Day

Narayangadh (Chitwan), Feb 19: Democracy fighter Tilak Prasad Sapkota has been remembered on Democracy Day.

 

He was remembered by the social activists and family members, organizing a function at Devghat, Bharatpur Metropolis-1, on Wednesday. On this occasion, they donated food to 35 helpless children staying at Shree Ramjanaki Shelter, Devghat.

 

The Tilak Sapkota Foundation Nepal organized the program and distributed food items to the helpless children. Late Sapkota’s spouse, Durga Devi Sapkota; Chairman of Bijay Community FM, Trilochan Sapkota; and others attended the program.

 

The Foundation has been organizing social activities and extending support to needy people in the sectors of health, education and culture. Speakers on the occasion remembered the late Sapkota’s role in the localization of democracy, youth awareness, and educational and social campaigns, especially in Gaidakot. —RSS
