PAHS’ budget, programmes approved
Kathmandu: The 15th meeting of Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) held under chairmanship of Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Academy, KP Sharma Oli, passed the plans, programmes and budget for current fiscal year.
The meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar has given permission to submit the multi-year master plan approved from the PAHS Ninth Assembly before the government of Nepal, and Ministry of Health and Population for the implementation.
Similarly, the meeting, with the recommendation of executive committee, also nominated Prof Dr Brahmadev Jha to the post of member of the assembly.
The meeting, however, directed to submit the proposal of increasing the existing salary and allowance of office-bearers, teachers and staffs of the PAHS by five per cent through internal resources only after holding further study and discussion.
PM Oli asked the PAHS to take decision as per the rule and law as well as to pass the annual budget and programme by holding a Senate meeting on time.
He, however, clarified that the decision having long-term and financial impact could not be approved.
