9th National Election Day is being observed today

Kathmandu: 9th National Election Day is being observed today with several programs across the country.

The Day has been observed every year since 2073 B.S. commemorating the General elections held in Nepal for the first time on the 7th of Falgun, 2015 B.S. adult Nepalis were able to exercise their right to vote.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has extended his best wishes to all on the occasion today.

General elections were held in Nepal for the first time on Falgun 7, 2015 B.S. The election commission is going to celebrate the day of the commencement of the same general election as election day.

The day is being celebrated by conducting various programs and campaigns under the leadership of the Election Commission.

Various campaigns and programs are conducted across the country today advocating for voter education and fair voting.
