Government to form task force to implement recommendations on merging, abolishing or transferring different structures of same nature

Kathmandu: The government has decided to form a high-level task force to implement recommendations from a study report on merging, abolishing, or transferring similar government structures.

Publicizing the decisions of a recent cabinet meeting today, Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, shared that the task force will focus on recommendations made by the Public Expenditure Review Commission, the High-Level Economic Reform Suggestion Commission, and a study on consolidating government bodies performing similar functions.

The task force will be led by the Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Likewise, Minister Gurung also announced that the Cabinet has approved submitting the bill to amend the Human Trafficking and Smuggling Control Act to the Federal Parliament. The Cabinet also approved the Industrial Business First Amendment Regulations.
