Fiduciary risk assessment: Dodhara Chandani remains result less
Kanchanpur, Feb 17: Shuklaphanta municipality has come up with outstanding results in the Sudurpaschim province in the local-level fiduciary risk assessment.
In the local-level fiduciary risk assessment for the fiscal year 2080/81 BS, the municipality secured the second position in the Sudurpaschim province and first in Kanchanpur district with 95 marks. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has been assessing the local level every year to make the financial system at the local level systematic, transparent, lawful, and effective.
The ministry has been evaluating five themes, namely planning, budget and program management, implementation capacity management, accounting and reporting, monitoring evaluation and audit, and revenue management.
Based on this method, the ministry sends the budget to the local level. Municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer Khem Raj Bista said that risk assessment has been carried out to institutionalize financial governance at the local level by identifying and accounting for potential risk areas of financial management.
According to him, the municipality has secured 19.5 marks in planning, budget, and program management; 27.5 in implementation capacity and management; 17 in accounting and reporting; 15 in evaluation and audit; and 16 in revenue management.
As per the assessment, Bhimdutta Municipality scored 78.5, Bedkot Municipality 93, Krishnapur Municipality 77, Belauri Municipality 82.5, Rehabilitation Municipality 66.5, Beldandi Rural Municipality 90.5, and Laljhadi Rural Municipality 88.5.
Dodhara Chandani Municipality, however, has remained resultless in the local-level fiduciary risk assessment. —RSS
