Emphasis on inclusive media content production and broadcasting
Kathmandu: Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) Nepal has emphasized the importance of including public concerns and citizen voices in the content produced and broadcast.
At the closing ceremony of a three-day training on inclusive broadcast content production and broadcasting, organized by Radio Nepal in celebration of World Radio Day, Dr. Mahendra Bista, Executive Chairperson of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, urged participants to apply the knowledge gained during the training in their work.
Chairperson Dr. Bista expressed confidence that PSB Nepal’s future content will reflect greater inclusiveness as the organization moves forward under its newly restructured framework.
Parbati Sharma, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, pledged full support to PSB Nepal in advancing its inclusive media vision in the coming years.
Bishnu Ram Neupane, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of PSB Nepal, said the training had been valuable in enhancing the productivity of program production and broadcasting, aligning with PSB’s policies.
Khagendra Khatri, Deputy Executive Director of PSB Nepal, expressed confidence that the skills and knowledge gained during the training would support PSB’s progress in its transformed structure.
During the ceremony, Joint Secretary Parbati Sharma was honored for her contributions to the organization, particularly for her role as a member of the Radio Broadcasting Service Development Committee.
