SEOUL, Feb 14: Six people die in a fire at a construction site in South Korea

A fire at a construction site in Busan’s Banyan Tree Hotel on Friday killed six people and injured seven others.

According to the National Fire Agency, the fire started before 11:00 am on the first floor, where insulation materials were stored.

The Agence France Press reported that six have been confirmed dead.

The fire is yet to be fully extinguished.

South Korea’s Acting president, Choi Sang-mok, directed officials to use all available resources to control the fire and protect rescue workers.
