Snowfall in Manang bring joy to locals

January 13, Kathmandu: Snowfall has occurred in Manang, a mountainous district of Gandaki province, bringing joy to the locals. This marks the first snowfall of the winter season, which should have come by early December.

Locals in the district shared that the hills are now blanketed in snow. They have said that winter snowfall is good for crops as it keeps the soil moist and fertile.

Locals say snowfall is favourable for the cultivation of medicinal plants, including Yarsagumba.
