Development is being realized despite resources crunch: CM Pandey
Dhorpatan: Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey shared the province government was accelerating developmental efforts even in the rural areas despite limited means and resources.
CM Pandey mentioned so while inaugurating a motorable bridge at Bongadovan of Taman Khola Rural Municipality-1 in Baglung district on Saturday.
Moreover, Pandey said that the province government had prioritized underdeveloped areas thereby realizing development in those remote areas. The newly-inaugurated bridge, built at the cost of over Rs 27.1 million, will enable small and big vehicles to pass through.
The bridge facilitates travellers for easier access from Bongadovhan to villages like Narjanakhani, Taman, Syaula, Khungkhani and Thaspuri among others. Pandey, during the inaugural event, further argued that road access was a key element to development, particularly in remote areas.
‘Development cannot happen at once in all places. It takes time and progresses gradually,’ he explained. He claimed that there has been a lot of development in the past decade and the expansion of roads had significantly brought transformative changes in the lives of citizens.
