UAE marks 53rd Union Day in Kathmandu
December 1, Kathmandu: The UAE Embassy in Kathmandu celebrated the 53rd Union Day on Sunday with Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, as the chief guest. The event commemorated the foundation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and showcased its achievements over the past 53 years.
Dignitaries, including the former Prime Minister, former Ministers, high-ranking government officials, political leaders, and members of the diplomatic community, attended the celebration.
The UAE Ambassador to Nepal, Abdullah Al Shamsi, highlighted the country’s significant progress in areas such as humanitarian aid, international cooperation, and sustainability. He emphasized the UAE’s commitment to addressing global challenges like climate change and food security under the “We the Emirates 2031” initiative.
The UAE is committed to supporting Nepal in its development and prosperity goals, the Ambassador said.
