National Assembly meeting begins
Kathmandu: Parliamentarians drew government’s attention towards various contemporary and urgent issues.
In today’s meeting of the National Assembly, the parliamentarians highlighted the devastation caused by recent floods and landslides on the onset of monsoon season.
They urged the government to provide compensation to families affected by the monsooninduced disasters.
Parliamentarians also called for the immediate rescue of women workers facing domestic violence abroad.
In response to a rise in suicide cases, parliamentarians also stressed the need for government-led awareness programs.
Additionally, concerns were raised about the increase of polio, with a call for a vaccination campaign.
