RSP begins ward session from today

Kathmandu, Dec 14: The Ward-level convention of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) started Thursday.
This is the party’s first holding ward-level sessions since its establishment. Chief whip of the parliamentary party of the party, Santosh Pariyar, shared that the ward session is being held in one ward in each of the seven provinces.
The ward-level convention is being held in the lead-up to the National Convention after going through Municipal and Provincial Conventions.
The ward-level convention today is being held in Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality-11, Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan City-2, Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City-10, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-13, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-20, Bheriganga Municipality-6 and Tikapur Municipality-1.
The central representatives of the party are participating in all seven provinces. It includes General Secretary and Spokesperson Dr Mukul Dhakal, Joint General Secretary and Member of Parliament Sumana Shrestha, Joint General Secretary Bipin Acharya, Treasurer Lima Adhikari, Organization Department Secretary Shankar Shrestha and Central Member Vijay Jairu.
Shankar Shrestha, secretary of the organization department, said that an 11-member ward committee will be formed in each ward with a chair.
Out of 11 members, at least four must be female with one Dalit woman. And six must be youths below 45 years of age.
