Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day celebrated in Kathmandu

August 11, Kathmandu: The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA), hosted a reception at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu on Thursday, commemorating Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day.
The Vice President of Nepal, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, graced the event as chief guest.
Welcoming the guests to the reception, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, emphasized the enduring amicable relations between the two nations, quoting the founder of Pakistan, the “Quaid-i-Azam” Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of peaceful coexistence.
The late NPFCA President, Himalaya Shumsher Rana, was lauded for fostering bilateral ties.
Dr Manju Ratna Sayka (Tkt), NPFCA’s President, underlined the association’s 62-year commitment to nurturing Nepal-Pakistan relations. The occasion was graced by the Vice President’s presence and guests’ participation.
The event saw the participation of government ministers, parliamentarians, dignitaries from civil society, journalism, diplomacy, and the Pakistani community in Nepal.
