Deadline for company fine exemption extended to mid-January

Kathmandu: The government has extended the deadline for companies to update their details and receive exemptions from fines until mid-January.

The extension gives companies an additional two months to submit their outstanding annual statements and pay the required dues for the last fiscal year.

According to the Office of the Company Registrar, more than 26,000 companies were registered in the last fiscal year, an increase of more than 5,500 compared to the previous year.

A total of 10,480 companies have been registered in the current fiscal year as of October.
