Nepal and UK discuss climate finance and Gurkha pensions as Ambassador Fenn Calls on FM Khanal

KATHMANDU — British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar today.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, mutual interests, and key areas of ongoing cooperation between Nepal and the United Kingdom. Talks focused on climate change mitigation, climate finance, resilient economic development, and strategic collaboration ahead of the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-31).

The dialogue also touched upon expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors and addressing long-standing issues regarding Gurkha veterans’ pensions.
