House of Representatives meeting scheduled for 1 PM today

Kathmandu, Sept 22: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been scheduled for 1 PM today.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle will table a proposal seeking consideration of the ‘Citizen Investment Trust (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083’ at the meeting.

Meanwhile, four parliamentary committees are also scheduled to meet today.

The Finance Committee will discuss the principles of the bill aimed at amending and repealing certain provisions of Nepal’s financial laws.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will discuss the draft report on the ‘National Forensics Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081’.

The Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, whose meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:15am, will discuss issues related to foreign and domestic investment, the impacts of climate change, and the management of investment conferences organised at the federal and provincial levels.

The committee will also discuss legal and policy reforms needed to promote investment in the country.

Similarly, the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will discuss the draft Library Policy.
