Unidentified Bodies being managed in Bidur

Trishuli (Nuwakot): The unidentified bodies of individuals who lost their lives in the floods in the Trishuli River have been managed at Khampa Camp in Bidur Municipality-6, Nuwakot.

A total of 65 bodies including 63 collected from various locations in Rasuwa and two from Nuwakot have been managed. Previously, bodies recovered from Nuwakot and Rasuwa were sent to Kathmandu.

However, due to a lack of space there, instructions were issued to manage them within the district itself.

Consequently, the bodies were managed by burying them in a pit, in accordance with the ‘Guidelines for the Management of Unidentified and Unclaimed Bodies (First Amendment), 2083,’ stated Superintendent of Police (SP) Bipin Regmi, Chief of the District Police Office.

The bodies have been managed in a systematic and scientific manner adhering to international standards and DNA samples were collected for relatives to match if possible later.
