First Lady offers prayers at Pashupatinath temple

Kathmandu: First Lady Sabita Paudel performed pooja and offered prayers at the Pashupatinath Temple on the occasion of Haritalika (Teej) this evening.

She also received tika and prasad from the temple’s chief priest, Ganesh Bhatta, according to the Pashupati Area Development Trust.

On the occasion of Teej, queues of women observing the fast began forming in the Pashupatinath area as early as 3:00 AM today.

While the queues were relatively short until 10:00 AM, the number of devotees increased thereafter, with even larger crowds gathering in the afternoon.
