Unlicensed guns found in forest; woman with contraband nabbed

Baglung: A police team on regular patrol found three unlicensed guns in Thanapati Community Forest in Badigad Rural Municipality-5.

Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Rameshwor Twati, informed that the police team detected the three unlicensed guns from the forest on Friday afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off about drug sales in Burtibang, a raid was conducted at Meena Hotel and Restaurant in Burtibang Riverhead, Dhorpatan Municipality-1.

During the raid, hotel operator Ramkumari Thapa from Dhaualagiri Rural Municipality-2, Myagdi, was arrested, he informed.

The police recovered 1,500 grams of marijuana and 380 grams of hashish, spokesperson Twati said.

It was reported that the investigation has begun after obtaining a five-day custody permit from the District Court. RSS
