NVC addresses 72 percent of complaints in a year, QR code to measure customers’ satisfaction
Kathmandu: The National Vigilance Centre under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers addressed 72 percent of complaints in the fiscal year 2082/83.

Submitting its annual report to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, NVC shared it received total of 2,137 complaints in the last fiscal year. The NVC marks the 25th year of its establishment this year.
It was set up in line with Section 37 of the Corruption Control Act, 2059. The NVC ensures accountability of those holding public positions. Even complaints on corruption and irregularities are received by it.
The public officials are obliged to submit their property details in the slated time every year. The NVC informed that in the fiscal year 2081/82, a total of 767,033 public office holders had submitted their property details.
According to NVC, the number of people submitting their property details was increasing every year. Lately, it has launched a QR code to measure customers’ satisfaction over the public service. Monitoring of public officials is conducted by NVC to ascertain whether the public officials have abided by code of conduct.
Even the file tracking and monitoring of vehicle usage, control of middlemen fall under NVC. In the last fiscal year, total 1,577 public offices were monitored.
