NC central committee meeting kicks off

Kathmandu: A meeting of the central working committee of the Nepali Congress began at its central office, Sanepa, a while ago. Party president Gagan Kumar Thapa is chairing the meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to hold a comprehensive discussion on party’s upcoming 15th general convention and the latest political development, according to NC central member Bijay Bahadur Swar.

He added that the party would dwell specially on preparations for the 15th general convention, creation of regulations and election guidelines, and update and distribution of membership.

A general convention preparation committee would be formed, and the decisions of the central working committee approved.

Central member Swar informed RSS that recent incidents of unrest surfaced in Terai/Madhesh, first 100 days of the government and the role of the opposition, provincial governments and organizational issues are other in the list to confer.
