Not in a hurry but timely publication of Grade 12 results: Minister Pokharel
Kathmandu: Minister for Education and Sports, Sashmit Pokharel, has made it clear that the National Examination Board (NEB) was not in a hurry but on time to publish the results of Grade 12 exams.

On a social media post today, Minister Pokharel reiterated that NEB made public the results on time by cutting through the administrative hassles and managing an additional workforce.
“We’re clear and assured on NEB’s result publication. There was no rush for it. It was on actual time,” he stated in the post. The Minister observed that we should respect citizens’ right to have a peaceful protest in a democratic society. He made such a remark, indicating a peaceful protest that the students held over the publication of the results.
Pokharel also urged everyone not to make any negative and insulting comments to the agitating students and groups. The Minister further shared that a committee was formed, having representation of undersecretaries at the Curriculum Development Centre and the Education Ministry, for addressing the demand for fair checks.
The panel will verify the checking of answer sheets and data entry. Meanwhile, the Ministry drew attention towards the error in the evaluation and publication of Grade 12 exams.
The students gathered at Maitighar Mandal of Kathmandu and demanded correction in the result process with a re-test and re-totalling of marks. NEB had published the Grade 12 results on June 19.
