Pakistan embassy partners with alumni network for free health camp in Sitapaila

Kathmandu: The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan Nepal Alumni Network (PNAN), organized a comprehensive free medical camp at Sitapaila, Ward 4 of Nagarjun Municipality in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The joint humanitarian initiative succeeded in providing critical healthcare services and consultations to more than 100 local residents, focusing primarily on senior citizens, women, and children.
A dedicated team of volunteer physicians, consisting largely of Nepali medical professionals who completed their healthcare degrees in Pakistan, ran the clinical check-ups.
In addition to diagnosing ailments, the team distributed essential medicines free of cost and identified several high-risk patients for immediate referral to tertiary hospitals.
The community event drew prominent local figures, including Nagarjun Municipality Deputy Mayor Sushila Adhikari, Ward 4 Chairperson Laxmi Ram Sharma, and PNAN President Dr. Deepak Mishra, alongside numerous local volunteers.
During the event, Deputy Mayor Adhikari extended her formal gratitude to the Pakistani Embassy and PNAN, praising both organizations for delivering vital, accessible healthcare directly to the residents of Nagarjun Municipality.
Dr. Mishra also commended the Embassy of Pakistan for its long-standing, active support of Nepal’s medical sector. Representatives from the embassy concluded the event by thanking the local municipality and the volunteer doctors for their coordination and dedication to the community.
