Flood-Damaged Diktel–Chakhewa Bhanjyang Road Reopens

Khotang, June 7: The Diktel–Chakhewa Bhanjyang road section, which had been blocked by flooding following heavy rainfall, has been brought back into operation.

The road at Pankhukhola in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-8 became impassable after floodwaters triggered by heavy rains on June 5 damaged sections of the Mid-Hill Highway.

Authorities have now restored traffic movement on the affected section, allowing vehicles to resume operations.

With the reopening of the road, transportation between Bhojpur and Kathmandu via Diktel has returned to normal, providing relief to commuters and transport operators affected by the disruption.
