Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis provides special health service to over 27,000 persons
Kailali: Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis provided health services to over 27,000 persons by conducting a specialist health clinic in the last eight months.
A total of 27,839 persons received various health services from the specialist ward clinic over eight months of the current fiscal year.
The scheme of specialist health service was launched targeting people from rural areas and the poor.
Resource person for the programme, Krishna Bohara, informed that the service was provided free of cost. Of the total service recipients, 20,875 were women and 6,964 men.
The specialist team comprised medical personnel from Geta Eye Hospital and Dhangadhi Netralaya, in addition to a general physician, a gynaecologist, and an obstetrician.
The general physician provided health checkups to 16,900 persons, while the number of persons receiving gynaecological service was 3,715, and the number of persons receiving eye checkups was 7,224.
Laboratory facilities, ECG and ultrasound facilities were also provided during the clinic. RSS
