Farewell to election police on Thursday
Kathmandu: The election police persons mobilized in the Kathmandu Valley for the March 5 election to the House of Representatives would be given farewell on Thursday.

Inspector General of the Nepal Police, Dan Bahadur Karki, said 3,854 election police persons were mobilised in Kathmandu, while 1,093 in Bhaktapur and 1,596 in Lalitpur for the election security.
He shared, “Security arrangements were made in coordination with Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other security bodies to maintain a peaceful environment in the Kathmandu Valley throughout the election period.”
Karki observed that the police personnel deputed during the election performed their duties with utmost responsibility.
