Muslim Commission’s Annual Report Presented in National Assembly
Kathmandu, Feb 13: The Muslim Commission Nepal presented its annual report for the fiscal year 2080-81 BS in the National Assembly (NA) today.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Anil Kumar Sinha, on behalf of Prime Minister and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Sushila Karki, tabled the report during the NA session.
During the session, Tulasha Kumari Dahal, Chairperson of the Legislation Management Committee, presented two key reports: the Inter-Legislative Relationship Study among Federal Units, 2082, and the Implementation Measurement Report on Child Participation in Child-related Acts, 2082.
NA Vice-Chairperson, Bimala Ghimire, while chairing the meeting, briefed members about a letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the allocation of responsibilities to Council members.
The 19th session of the NA was formally prorogued following a recommendation from the Cabinet. President Ramchandra Paudel, acting on the Cabinet’s advice on February 9, officially prorogued the session effective from midnight, in line with Article 93 (3) of the Constitution. NA Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal conveyed details of the presidential letter to the Assembly.
