Mobile Health Camp Held for Nepali Workers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Kathmandu, Feb 14: A one-day mobile health camp was organised in the Al Khumrah/Sanaiya area of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, benefiting around 100 Nepali workers, according to the Nepali Embassy in Jeddah.
The camp was jointly conducted by the Nepali Embassy and the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Regional Coordination Committee, Jeddah, with medical support from Abeer Group Hospital. Workers attending the camp received free health check-ups, including eye examinations, diabetes screening, and consultations for various medical conditions.
In addition to health services, the camp assisted with passport-related procedures. Participants were also given awareness sessions on labour laws, workers’ rights, and financial literacy. An interactive session was held to discuss challenges faced by Nepali workers in Saudi Arabia.
