Balen files candicacy from Jhapa-5

January 20, Kathmandu: Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Balendra Shah (Balen), has filed his candidacy from Jhapa constituency-5.

Shah arrived at the election officer’s office with supporters and traditional musical instruments. He was welcomed at several places along the way, including with kalash rituals.

He registered at the Returning Officer’s office located in Ward No. 8 of Damak Municipality.

Shah entered active politics after resigning from the post of Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

UML Chair Oli is also vying from the same constituency.
